Welcome to Profile Info ("Profile Info," "we," "us," "our," or the "Company"). We operate the website profileinfo.space and provide related software-as-a-service (SaaS) products and services (collectively, the "Services"). At Profile Info, we are deeply committed to protecting your privacy and safeguarding your personal data. This Privacy Policy ("Policy") explains how we collect, use, disclose, transfer, and store your information when you interact with our Services. It also describes your rights and choices regarding your personal information.
We have designed this Policy to be transparent and comprehensive, structured to provide clear explanations for users of all backgrounds. We encourage you to read it carefully to understand our practices. By accessing or using our Services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to the collection, use, and sharing of your information as described in this Policy and our Terms of Service. If you do not agree with our policies and practices, please do not use our Services.
This Policy applies to all information collected through:
Our primary website: profileinfo.space
Subdomains and localized versions of our website.
Our web application and visual editor.
Our mobile applications (if any).
Any other online properties, tools, or services where this Policy is posted or referenced.
This Policy applies to all users of our Services, including visitors to our marketing website, registered users with Free or Pro accounts, and visitors to Profile Pages created by our users. It covers personal data we collect directly from you, automatically through your use of the Services, and from third-party sources.
For the purposes of data protection laws, Profile Info acts as both a Data Controller and a Data Processor.
Data Controller: We are the controller of the personal data we collect directly from you when you visit our marketing site, create an account, manage your subscription, or contact our support team. We determine the purposes and means of processing this data.
Data Processor: We are the processor of the personal data that our users (Profile Page creators) choose to include in their Profile Pages ("User Content"). When a user inputs personal data (their own or others') into their Profile Page, such as contact information, biographical details, or project case studies, that user is the Data Controller. We process that data on their behalf, according to their instructions, as governed by our Terms of Service and any applicable Data Processing Addendum (DPA).
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technologies, legal requirements, or other factors. We will provide notice of material changes by:
Posting the revised Policy on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date.
Sending a notification to the email address associated with your account (for registered users).
Displaying a prominent notice within the Services prior to the change becoming effective.
We encourage you to periodically review this page for the latest information on our privacy practices. Your continued use of the Services after the effective date of any revised Privacy Policy constitutes your acceptance of its terms.
If you have any questions, concerns, or requests regarding this Privacy Policy or our data practices, you may contact us at:

We collect several types of information from and about users of our Services, as detailed below. The specific data we collect depends on how you interact with us.
A. Account and Registration Information:
When you sign up for a Profile Info account (Free or Pro), we collect information necessary to create and maintain your account. This includes:
Full Name: To personalize your experience and identify your account.

Account Type and Subscription Plan: To determine your feature set and billing terms.

We do not store full credit card numbers on our servers. We receive and store limited billing data such as your billing postal code, the last four digits of your payment card, the card type, and the expiration date to manage your subscription.

The core of our Service is your Profile Page. We store all the content you choose to create, upload, publish, or display on your Profile Page. This may include, but is not limited to:
Text: Biographies, job titles, company information, project descriptions, blog posts, testimonials.
Images and Graphics: Profile photos, logos, portfolio images, infographics.

Do not upload sensitive personal data (e.g., Social Security numbers, financial account details, health information) to your Profile Page.
C. Communication Information:
When you contact our customer support team, participate in a survey, respond to a promotional offer, or otherwise communicate with us, we collect:
The content of your messages or attachments.

When you visit our website (profileinfo.space) or use our Services, we and our third-party service providers may automatically collect certain information about your device and your interactions with our Services using cookies, web beacons, log files, and similar tracking technologies.
A. Technical and Device Information:

This includes metrics like page view counts, unique visitor counts, geographic location (country/city level), referral sources (e.g., social media, search engines), and which links/buttons on your page were clicked. This data is presented to you, the Profile Page owner, in your dashboard and is processed to provide you with insights. We do not create detailed behavioral profiles of your visitors for our own advertising purposes.
C. Cookies and Similar Technologies:
We use cookies (small text files stored on your device) and similar technologies for several purposes:
Essential / Strictly Necessary: Required for the basic functioning of the Services (e.g., user authentication, maintaining your session security, load balancing). These cannot be disabled.

Functionality: Enable enhanced functionality and personalization (e.g., remembering your login preferences, language settings).
Advertising / Targeting: Used by us and our advertising partners to deliver relevant ads to you on other websites and to measure the effectiveness of ad campaigns. You have control over these cookies (see Section 7, Your Choices).
For more detailed information, please see our separate Cookie Policy.
We may receive information about you from other sources and combine it with the information we collect directly.
A. Social Media Platforms:
If you choose to log in to Profile Info using a third-party service like Google or Apple (Single Sign-On), or if you connect your social media accounts to populate your Profile Page, we may receive information from that platform, such as your public profile information (name, email, profile picture) and connection list, as permitted by your settings on that platform.
B. Service Providers:
Our analytics providers, advertising partners, and fraud detection services may provide us with aggregated or anonymized data.
C. Publicly Available Sources:
We may, in limited circumstances, collect information from publicly available professional networking sites (like LinkedIn) for business development or sales prospecting purposes, in compliance with applicable laws.

We will only do this with your prior consent where required by law (e.g., under GDPR/PECR), or where we have a legitimate interest and you have not opted out. You can opt-out of marketing communications at any time (see Section 7).

We may use data about your visits to our website to show you Profile Info ads later when you are browsing other sites. We do not use the content of your Profile Page for personalized advertising.
Internal Analytics: To analyze usage trends, measure the effectiveness of our marketing campaigns, and understand our user base demographics.

For users located in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, Switzerland, and other regions with similar data protection laws, we rely on the following legal bases for processing your personal data:

Improving and optimizing our Services.
Marketing our Services to existing users (where permitted).
Preventing fraud and ensuring network and information security.
Administrative and business management purposes.
Consent: We rely on your explicit, opt-in consent for certain non-essential processing activities, such as sending you direct marketing emails (where required by law) or using certain non-essential cookies. You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time.
Legal Obligation: The processing is necessary for us to comply with a legal or regulatory obligation, such as tax reporting or responding to lawful law enforcement requests.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We only share and disclose your information in the following limited circumstances:
We will share your personal information with third parties when you have given us your explicit consent to do so. For example, if you choose to use an integration that connects your Profile Info account to another service (like a mailing list provider), we will share information as authorized by you to enable that connection.
We engage trusted third-party companies and individuals ("Service Providers") to perform services on our behalf or to assist us in operating and providing the Services. These Service Providers are contractually bound to protect your information and only process it according to our instructions for the purposes we specify. Categories of Service Providers include:

Payment Processors: (e.g., Stripe, PayPal) to handle secure payment transactions.
Analytics Providers: (e.g., Google Analytics, Mixpanel) to help us understand Service usage.
Customer Support and Communication Tools: (e.g., Zendesk, Intercom, email delivery services).
Advertising and Marketing Platforms: (e.g., Google Ads, Facebook Ads, LinkedIn Marketing) to manage and measure our ad campaigns.

We may disclose your information if we believe in good faith that such disclosure is necessary to:
Comply with any applicable law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request.
Enforce our Terms of Service, including investigation of potential violations.
Detect, prevent, or otherwise address fraud, security, or technical issues.
Protect the rights, property, or safety of Profile Info, our users, or the public as required or permitted by law.
This may involve sharing information with law enforcement agencies, courts, regulators, or other government authorities.
If Profile Info is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing due diligence, reorganization, bankruptcy, receivership, sale of company assets, or transition of service to another provider, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you (via email and/or a prominent notice on our Services) of any such transfer and any choices you may have regarding your information.
We may share aggregated, anonymized, or de-identified information that cannot reasonably be used to identify you for various purposes, such as industry analysis, demographic profiling, marketing, and improving our Services.
Please remember that any information you include in your publicly accessible Profile Page (User Content) is available to anyone who visits that page, including via search engines. You control what you publish. We are not responsible for the privacy or security of information you choose to make public.
We implement and maintain reasonable and appropriate technical, administrative, and physical security measures designed to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. These measures include, but are not limited to:
Encryption: We encrypt data in transit using TLS/SSL protocols. We also encrypt sensitive data at rest.

While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal information, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. Therefore, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
We retain your personal information only for as long as is necessary to fulfill the purposes for which we collected it, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements. Our retention periods are based on the following criteria:
Account Data: We retain the information associated with your account for as long as your account is active. If you close your account, we will begin the process of deleting or anonymizing your personal data within a reasonable period (typically 30-90 days), unless we are required to retain it to comply with legal obligations (e.g., tax records), resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, or for legitimate business interests (e.g., fraud prevention).
Profile Page Content (User Content): If you delete content from your Profile Page or close your account, the content is removed from public view and our production systems. Residual copies may remain in our backup systems for a limited period (up to 90 days) before being overwritten as part of our normal backup cycle.
Marketing Data: If you opt-out of marketing communications, we will retain a record of your preference to not be contacted to ensure we respect your choice in the future.

Withdraw Consent: Where we rely on your consent to process your personal information, you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. This does not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal.
Opt-out of Sale/Sharing (CCPA/CPRA): Request to opt-out of the "sale" or "sharing" of your personal information (as those terms are defined under California law). Profile Info does not sell personal information for monetary consideration. We do share information with advertising partners for targeted advertising, which may constitute "sharing" under the CPRA. See Section 7.3 for opt-out mechanisms.
Limit Use of Sensitive Information (CPRA): Request to limit the use of your sensitive personal information.

Profile Info is based in the United States. Your personal information will be transferred to and processed in the United States and possibly other countries where our Service Providers operate. These countries may have data protection laws that are different from, and in some cases, less protective than, the laws of your country.
When we transfer personal information from the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or Switzerland to countries not deemed by the European Commission to provide an adequate level of data protection, we rely on appropriate safeguards as required by law. These include:
Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs): We use the European Commission-approved Standard Contractual Clauses for transfers from the EEA/UK/Switzerland to the United States and other countries. These clauses require the recipients of your personal data to protect it to the standard required in the EEA/UK/Switzerland.
Other Valid Mechanisms: Where applicable, we may also rely on your explicit consent or other transfer mechanisms recognized by applicable data protection laws.
You can request a copy of the specific safeguards we use for international transfers by contacting us at privacy@profileinfo.space.
Our Services are not directed to individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child under 16 has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 16 without verification of parental consent, we will take steps to delete that information from our servers.
Our Services may contain links to third-party websites, services, or applications that are not operated by us (e.g., social media platforms linked from your Profile Page). This Privacy Policy does not apply to those third-party services. We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites or services. We strongly advise you to review the privacy policy of every site you visit.
Some browsers incorporate a "Do Not Track" (DNT) feature that, when turned on, signals to websites and online services that you do not wish to be tracked. There is no industry consensus on how to respond to DNT signals. As a result, Profile Info does not currently respond to DNT browser signals or mechanisms. We will continue to monitor developments around DNT browser technology and any future standard that may emerge.

In the preceding 12 months, we have "shared" (for cross-context behavioral advertising) and "sold" (as defined by the CCPA/CPRA) Identifiers and Internet Activity with advertising networks.
